"We're making our case through public diplomacy, stating clearly and confidently our belief in self-determination, and the rule of law, and religious freedom, and equal rights for women, beliefs that are right and true in every land, and in every culture." President George W. Bush speaking at the National Endowment for Democracy, October 2005. Views
of the American People
A recent professionally conducted nationwide survey, commissioned by the ERA Campaign Network shows that: 96% of American adults believe that men and women should have equal rights 88% believe that those equal rights should be guaranteed to them by the US Constitution. These views are so widely held by both men and women and across all segments of our society, that: 72% mistakenly think the Constitution already specifies that male and female citizens are entitled to equal rights. 4ERA is looking for YOU, the 88% of Americans who support constitutional equality for men and women.
